So you want to groom you own dog!

If you plan to groom your own Havanese, there are a few things you should know to get the job done properly. These are all things a professional groomer should be doing for you if you elect to pay someone else to groom your dog. The Havanese have a few 'tricks' that you should be aware of. First off, if you're grooming yourself, you will need to commit to bath and groom them on a regular schedule - I suggest every two weeks. This will help minimize the tangles in their hair and keep them clean and smelling fresh.

I have put together a number of photos (below) showing the proper steps in grooming your own Havanese properly. Click on each thumb nail to get the larger image and description for each picture.
